PLDT Domestic Fiber Optic Network (DFON)
The Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company says the project increases its domestic fiber optic network by 13 or 4 6 terabits per second. Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) expand the reach of its domestic fibre-optic network (DFON) by a further 5,000km to 60,000 km. Under the carrier’s wider fibre rollout plan, PLDT is investing PHP2.5 billion (USD61.37 million) this year to deploy its DFON to around two million households in Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Southern Tagalog, Panay, Negros Occidental, Cebu and Davao. Our major contractor which is ALCATEL France under the supervision and management of a filipino Engineer and a subcontractor, Engr. Mel S. Alfante now a COO of Maycre Construction, who also collaborated with SIEMENS AG, of ETSI - Electronic Telephone System for more FOC Submarine network maintenance for the past years.

Southeast Asia-United States (SEA-US)
Globe Telecom, one of the Philippines’ largest telecommunications providers, has launched the US$250 million Southeast Asia-United States (SEA-US) submarine cable system, providing direct links between Davao City and the United States. The 14,500-kilometer cable system uses 100Gbps transmission technology to deliver 20 terabits per second capacity (Tb/s).
Maycre Construction took part in these endeavor as subcontractor-submarine connect by providing commercial divers and cable control staff under supervision of ALCATEL Alstom and HUAWIE Marine Networks. We also provide and control FOC technical staff to properly install submarine cable equipment used in cable layout.
